Jacob Lawrence Research

I'm thinking about maybe researching Jacob Lawrences, The swearing in piece, but still not sure. Jacob Lawrence is an African American artist from the 20th century. He painted to show the struggles of African Americans in this time.

    Lucy, think about why you are drawn to this piece. Is this a piece that you will be able to spend a lot of time with and not get bored? Lawrence is an intriguing artist.
